Over time Google may catch up with content duplication if you ‘re using external links. You can always use 301 redirects, delete the old content and create a new piece of unique content with external links/authority to replace it.
There may also be some issues when you’re syndicating your own material to external sites and one of them happens to rank for that keyword phrase 🙁 . That’s why doing this on a small scale would work best or just creating external links from other authority websites containing your primary keywords because they have plenty authority and Pagerank already.
External link is definitely something that every website needs for external trust links, external backlinks and to get massive credibility boost on the SERP.
Of course, most importantly is that it helps you rank higher in search engine result pages (SERP). Search engines love external link because it means your site is very popular. The more external link you have the better off you are at ranking higher in Google (or other search engines). And yes… when we say external link we don’t mean spammy or un-natural links but those high quality websites which must contain your primary keywords and related keyword phrases.
